The Neighborhood:
Madinaty, (meaning "My city" in Arabic), is a new prominent city just outside of Cairo. Nearby you will find an outstanding variety of amenities such as Starbucks, grocery stores, restaurants, banks, pharmacies, and salons all within a 5 minute drive from your stay. Uber is also available to and from your stay to anywhere within at least 2 hours. You can also take the small Madinaty busses as mentioned above.
Getting Around:
If you don't have a vehicle you need not worry, because calling an Uber is available and extremely prompt in picking you up and taking you to your desired destination. Just make sure you give the location and address.
- 1 hour drive (or Uber) to the Great Pyramids of Giza
- 1 hour drive to the heart of Cairo
- 5 min drive or 15 min walk to Arabesque mall where you will find many cafes, businesses, and restaurants
Other Things to Note:
- We have included Bein sports for you to enjoy the world cup from the comfort of Madinaty Gardens.
- 1 - 2 minute walk to the local grocery store with a pharmacy inside
- 1 hour drive (or Uber) to the Great Pyramids of Giza
- 1 hour drive to the heart of Cairo
- 15 min walk to Arabesque mall where you will find many cafes (including Starbucks),
businesses, and restaurants
- their is a main bus station in Madinaty called “el haraka” , busses can take you to lots of places for less than $2.00
(Nasr city, Heliopolis, El Rehab city, Saraya el Koba to get the underground metro) or to tour these places. There are also smaller busses that take you around in Madinaty that pass every 1/2 hour just outside the apartment close to security kiosk for around 50 cents or less.
